Mixed Media Artist and Educator

Nina Fickett is a second-generation artist living in Arizona with her husband and two of their four adult children and granddaughter. Nina graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design which led her on a lifelong journey of artistic discovery.

In 1996 she moved away from the commercial art industry and began experimenting in making paper and collage work. 2015 was the year she discovered the world of mixed media and a deep passion for following the texture.

Nina is passionate about creating through intuitive experimentation and is driven by her love of texture. As an art educator, her goal is to help you find the joy and freedom within experimentation to let go and just play. In doing that she believes this will lead you to what in your art brings you the most passion and thus your “style”.
